First Look Initiative

FreddieMac will offer homebuyers and select non-profits an exclusive opportunity to purchase HomeSteps homes prior to competition from investors through the First Look Initiative. This on-going initiative offers owner occupant home buyers the ability to purchase HomeSteps homes during their initial 15 days of listing without competition from investors. The purchaser does not need to be a first time homebuyer to be eligible provided, however, that they are buying the home as their primary or secondary residence

The Freddie Mac Relief Refinance Mortgage – Open Access helps borrowers refinance. This offering is designed to assist borrowers who are making timely mortgage payments, but have been unable to refinance due to declining property values.  A portion of this offering, mortgages with loan-to-value (LTV) ratios greater than 80 percent, represents our business implementation of the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP).

With no maximum LTV ratios, relief from standard mortgage insurance, simplified appraisal requirements, and the ability to submit through Loan Prospector, you can refinance into a mortgage that's better for long-term homeownership success.

What documentation will I need?

• Personal tax returns for the past 2 years
• Current pay stubs for the past month
• Bank statements for last 2 months (all pages)
• Latest retirement statement for each active account (all pages)
• Sales contract (purchase)
• Clear copy of Driver’s License (front and back)
• Clear copy of SS card (front and back)
• Addresses and loan information of other real estate owned (if any)
